If any further use of my phone in some fashion might have resulted in an automatic and permanent deletion of the voice memo in question or the photos, DrFone should inform the end-user of same. Those at least should have shown up in DrFone. No dice.I had also recently deleted several photos from my library (via my PC since you can only delete camera roll photos on the iPhone 4). I even reloaded the software, thinking it might have been a corrupt download. I tried to scan a couple of more times with the same results. The system suggested a scan of an iPhone backup for this memo, which, of course, did not exist since I had just deleted the message, so the direct recovery method was the only choice. The progress bar for the scan proceed at a reasonable pace to 12%, then jumped to 100% at which point it indicated that no relevant data had been found. ![]() DrFone recognized the device as an iPhone 4 quickly and scanned the volume for deleted files. I downloaded the software, connected my iPhone, launched the application and went through the drill to put the phone in DFU mode. ![]() ![]() Dr.Fone seems to be the preferred, if not the only, reliable recovery tool (if the Google results are to be believed). Somehow I manage to force the issue and deleted a 15 minute testimonial recorded in front of an audience I had recorded for a sick friend who could not attend. I accidentally deleted a voice memo from my iPhone 4, which requires some diligence because you are challenged prior to the deletion.
